In this lesson, you will learn five characters related to water!
波 = 파 = wave
(물결 파)
Your first character in Unit 5! You see 波 used a lot in words related to physics, as there is a lot of content relating to waves in physics. Even if you don’t know anything about physics, you can probably guess what 波長 refers to, even if you don’t see the English translation!

熱波 = heat wave
光波 = light wave
音波 = sound wave
定재波 = standing wave
進行波 = traveling wave
波數 = wave number

汽車 = train
汽車驛 = train station
汽船 = steamboat
汽壓 = pressure of steam
